I've got plenty of hobbies, but making art is something I've done ever since I could remember. As a kid I found joy in sketching perfectly coordinated outfits for pop star girl groups like Dream and Destiny's Child. I've got looseleaf notebooks full of little baby Jess sketches.
Getting sucked into making something is one of my absolute favorite things to do. If I can get into the flow of an illustration it can be hard to pull me out - but that's when the magic happens. It's a delicious feeling that I find myself chasing often. The end result is a portfolio full of cool pieces; art that I look at and say "wow, I can't believe I made that".
