Sweet Bribery is a Houston-based ice cream shop that creates unique, flavor-packed sweet treats and ice cream. They've been a long-term DesignGood client – we created their original branding – and returned recently for a branding update, new packaging, and signage. I was happy to help update such a vibrant and funky brand!
I spent some time iterating on Sweet B's original visual identity, making subtle adjustments so I could provide the client with a few new-and-improved brand options. They weren't looking to change anything too much so it was sort of a balancing act of keeping the client in a comfortable territory while gently pushing them in a more modern direction. The color palette stayed relatively the same, with options for hue adjustments and occasional new colors. We did choose, however, to focus less on the chocolate hues and more on the pinks.
I updated the logo quite a bit; it used to contain an ice cream cone that pushed the brand-clarifying text off into the distance. I gave the client a few options and found success with a version that included rounded typography surrounding the word 'Bribery'. I created a sublogo as well, the 'Sweet B' with a halo that you'll see scattered throughout the page.
To the left you can see Sweet Bribery's updated style guide, with its new logo lockups and a handful of fresh typography elements. Previously the brand had focused much more on the chocolate and caramel colors, so switching to the more pink-centric tones really felt like a nice update.
One of the bigger tasks I worked on for Sweet B was new packaging. They needed a couple sizes of ice cream containers that had small variations based on where and how they were being sold. I included a blank spot on the front of the pint-sized tubs so the shop could label each pint with a custom flavor. The smaller containers were a little harder to design for lack of room, but they came out so cute!
My other sizable task was designing out some new exterior signage for their store. Their exterior was getting a repaint and refresh, so we proposed the addition of 'Craft Ice Cream' and 'Guilty Pleasures' to flank the sides of their lit logo on the front of the building. I designed a 'Seduction in Every Scoop' graphic with an ice cream cone that would potentially become a mural on one side of the building. Lastly, I created some branded typography + elements to be painted on their glass windows and doors. All of these visual changes to the exterior have not yet been made – I imagine it's a complicated process compared to ordering new packaging or the like.

As a designer and illustrator, I'm always looking for new ways to create magic for others. Whether you're looking for a rebrand, a new website, or even a new long-term designer, let's make the connection.
